President Hipolito Mejia has transferred the responsibility to oversee the management of the propane gas subsidy to his Social Cabinet. Previously, it was managed by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. Victor Manzanillo was appointed manager of the program. The subsidy is granted on the sale of 25, 50 and 100 gallons of gas purchased during morning hours.
