Santiago's new airport

Jose Clase, president of Adozona, announced on a Cibao Super TV program the opening of the Cibao Airport in August. The privately built airport will cost RD$400 million. The government is working on the repair of several access roads. Clase said the airport will serve residents in 14 Cibao provinces. He expects American Airlines, Continental and Canada 3000 to fly into the terminal.  (18 May 2001)
