One million to improve the Mirador Park

The Ministry of Environment announced an investment of RD$1 million to recondition the Mirador del Sur Park in Santo Domingo prior to turning it over to a private board. Deputy Minister Julio Cesar Ureña said they have also included the adjacent Cayetano Germosen Park (and its underground lake and caverns) in the plan. The money is to improve the sidewalks, the children’s train that runs through the park, the bathroom facilities, construction of two new bird stations, illumination improvements and bench repairs.
