El Siglo newspaper says that the report presented by the official commission headed by Minister of the Armed Forces Jose Miguel Soto Jimenez coincides with that of the Police in several aspects. The newspapers sources say the two reports agree that the principal suspect in the death of two people in Capotillo on Monday is Hector Bienvenido Cross Espinosa, whose formal job was with Promese, a governmental medical supplies division. He was in charge of collecting the money from medicine sales. His relationship with the Police is yet to be established. Reportedly, the Arms Superintendent of the Police had assigned a gun to him, supposedly as protection while on his Promese job. An Antena Latina TV video shows him making his way into the neighborhood protected by Police agents. Cross Espinosa was questioned for eight hours yesterday by Attorney General Virgilio Bello Rosa, and later sent to an undisclosed detention area. El Siglo newspaper says the Soto report recommends the transfer of the police personnel in the area, sending to justice at least seven persons, including civilians and Police. Meanwhile, the Police identified sergeant Franklin Tejada Tejada and corporal Carlos Miguel Feliz Mateo as responsible for the death of a man who was killed while he sat on the sidewalk in front of his home on Dr. Betances Street in Capotillo. The three killings lead to violent riots in the neighborhood.
