The XXXVII Federation of Interamerican Lawyers Conference opens in Santo Domingo, Thursday, 21 June at the Hotel Melia Santo Domingo.This year’s conference which gathers jurists from the Americas focuses on reforms in justice management. The central focus is on reforms in the DR and other Latin American countries. Dr. Jorge Subero Isa, president of the Dominican Supreme Court of Justice, will give the opening address at the conference. The conference will also deal with telecommunications (talks by the presidents of Codetel and Tricom), international business contracts, judicial careers, legal auditing, Internet brands, and dispute bodies under the World Trade Organization among other topics.
