Murdered teenager’s pals avenge him

The Listin Diario reports that gangs of youngsters who roam Expreso V Centenario and Avenida Padre Castellanos took justice in their hands after the murder of 14-year old Hector Ramon Pimentel (Garabito). The boy worked for a well-known drug trafficker in the northern barrios of the city. Jose Francisco Castillo (Frank), the alleged dealer who is suspect of having hung and burned the body of the youngster, was beaten with hammers and sticks to the point of requiring intensive care at the Los Minas hospital. Once released from the hospital, he was arrested by the Homicide Department. Father Rogelio Cruz of the Cristo Rey Parish commented that the man was known to regularly exploit the 12 to 14 year olds who did his dirty work in exchange for money to buy new sneakers, eat at Burger King or play pinball. “The kids were scared of him because he would send them to rob, buy drugs and then he would wait for them at the Expreso V Centenario bridge to mistreat them if they didn’t get the job done,” he said.
