The Dominican Forestry Chamber (Cafordom) has criticized excesses being committed by the military Green Lightning Operation. The organization says wood and vehicles belonging to Chamber members are being confiscated. Cafordom said this goes against programs they created along with the Ministry of Environment. Cafordom members have invested in tree farms and have the Ministry of Environment’s authorization to cut the trees and transport them in authorized trucks.
