A propane gas tanker unloading fuel at Church’s Chicken fast food outlet in Naco caused a major scare yesterday afternoon. A gas hose leakage forced of Codetel’s Torre Cristal and La Isla Department store. The firemen also restricted access to traffic from Gustavo Mejia Ricart Avenue to Carlos Sanchez Street in Naco from noon to around 4 pm. The tanker was taken to the Quisqueya Ball Park where the gas was unloaded. Angel Lockward, Minister of Industry and Commerce, said the tanker did not have the legal authorization to transport fuel and an investigation will be carried out.
