Dominican Siamese twins Martina and Leyda died during the operation to separate them at the Massachusetts General Children’s Hospital in Boston. They had been born at the Plaza de la Salud on 10 April to Dioselyn Santana and Freddy Rodriguez. The operation lasted 10 hours.
