The Collective of Dominican Gays and Lesbians held a concentration at Avenida del Puerto on Sunday afternoon. Diario Libre said that about 50 gay representatives attended, and many more curious passersby. Spokespersons for the organizing groups urged that the homosexuals integrate more into the productive activities of the country. They urged that society be more tolerant to them. The event coincided with the celebration of the International Day of Gay and Lesbian Pride.
