The Listin Diario reports that the committee appointed by PRSC party leader, Joaquin Balaguer, to resolve an impasse following its July general assembly has left Angel Lockward off the executive committee even though it decided to expand its membership from 50 to 76. Lockward, a controversial former Minister of Industry and Commerce in the Mejia administration, had challenged the general assembly and was described as a rotten apple within the party. The PRSC committee said it would leave it up to the Central Electoral Board to decide what to do about Lockwards allegations against the PRSC assembly.
