Only four of 11 companies that showed an interest in the tender for Dominicana Airlines, the bankrupt state airline, have chosen to continue participating in the tender. The choice of a company to privatize the state airline will be announced on 19 September, according to the Commission for the Reform of State Enterprise (CREP). Interested companies are: Aerospace Finance Ltd., represented by Victor Gomez Berges. Consorcio Dominicana 2001 (Aeropostal, Alas de Venezuela), represented by Jose Mustafa. Orsen Trading S.A., represented by Fermin I. Tavarez. The Kingsford Corporation, represented by Rey Antonio Núñez Cabral. (14 August 2001)
