Metereologists report the development of a tropical depression about 975 miles to the east of the Windward Islands. The storm is moving west and could become Tropical Storm Chantal by tomorrow. The system is being monitored carefully as it could turn towards the west northwest which would bring it close to the Dominican Republic next week.
