Vice President and Minister of Education Milagros Ortiz Bosch said that classes at public schools will start on Monday, 3 September. Private schools are free to set their starting date but the majority of classes will start on the same date. Ortiz said her department will issue a resolution officially authorizing the registration of students who do not have birth certificates.
