President Hipolito Mejia said yesterday that he will not change his ways just because he is President. I am a president, like all of you, he said at a meeting of his social program ministers at the National Palace. I have not wanted the countryside to get out of my head, he said. There are people who want me to change, but I was brought up like this and as President, I am not going to change, he said. He jested that there are those who want him to buy a wig. But I dont like that nor do I like traditional politics, where I say one thing and then do another. I am not going to do that, he promised. For the next three years you are going to have to see me as I am because I am not going to change, he said.
