The board of the Partido de la Liberacion Dominicana (PLD) declared itself in permanent session yesterday and appointed Norge Botello to coordinate protocol and military honor preparations for the possible demise of former President Juan Bosch. The 92-year-old politician/writer is in the intensive care unit of the Abel Gonzalez Medical Center on Abraham Lincoln Avenue. One of his lungs will be operated on today, an operation his surgeon Pedro Ureña says is very risky. Bosch founded the ruling Partido Revolucionario Dominicano and the Partido de la Liberacion Dominicana.
