The Central Electoral Board (JCE), the body that keeps civil records, sent lawyer Victor Romero to Moca and Jamao in Espaillat province to investigate the veracity of the birth certificate of boy baseball star Danny Almonte. Romero is to bring back his report to the JCE. The JCE will issue its verdict on the contradictions in Almonte’s birth documents.
