The DR is about to become the leading exporter of potatoes to potato loving Puerto Rico. Juan Figuereo, general manager of Frito Lay Dominicana, said their plantations will soon produce enough potatoes to turn the DR into the leading potato exporter of the Caribbean. He says potato production in the DR will be tripled.
