Felix Sanchez has added another important victory to his string of wins in the 400-meter hurdles, establishing himself as the best in the world. He won the gold with a time of 48.47 seconds at the Goodwill Games in Brisbane, Australia. Second place went to Llewellyn Herbt of South Africa who clocked in at 48.93 and third to Hadi Al-Somayli of Saudi Arabia with 48.94. US-born and raised, but the son of Dominican parents, Sanchez was the sole competitor for the DR in the Goodwill Games.
