Innoculation campaign

Minister of Public Health Jose Rodrigue Soldevila announced the start in October of the use of the pentavalent vaccine for infants. The inoculation seeks to prevent five diseases in infants younger than a year. Diseases covered are diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, hepatitis B (Hib), and pertussis and meningitis. Three dosis are necessary. Ministry announced around 20,000 children per month will be vaccinated.
