Dominican airports will begin to require diplomats, government officers and businessmen to undergo security checks upon departure. The Federal Aviation Agency of the United States requires that everyone boarding airplanes headed to US territory be checked. The measure includes city mayors, cabinet officers, the Cardinal and bishops of the church, senators, deputies and ambassadors who previously got VIP treatment at Dominican airports. The only exceptions to the new security rules are Presidents, Vice Presidents, and ministers of foreign relations and armed forces.
