The Dominican Republic has won the Denis Massien award for best booth at the Top Resa trade show, the leading travel fair for the French travel market. Some 20,000 travel executives cast a vote for the award.
The event took place in Deauville, France 20-23 September with around 21,000 travel executives from all around the world in attendance.
The DR was also chosen as the second most popular destination for French travellers, after Mauritius, among the countries participating in the fair. The Dominican stand occupied 120 square meters and recreated a giant aquarium, waterfalls, lights and images while presenting the beaches, culture, adventure travel, Dominican hospitality, sports and business travel opportunities.
