Haiti’s Chief of Police, General Carel Alexandre, visited President Hipolito Mejia at the National Palace yesterday. The meeting was part of a bilateral strategy to increase cooperation between both countries against drug trafficking. The Haitian general was received by the President and by Major General Manuel Antonio Lachapelle Suero, president of the Drug Control Department in the DR. Also present was Ruben Prieto, representing the Drug Enforcement Agency of the United States.
