Jerry becomes a tropical depression

Weather forecasters say Jerry, the eleventh storm to affect the Atlantic Basin this year, will not affect the Dominican Republic. The storm has lost strength and is now a tropical depression as it makes its way west well south of the DR. Weather forecasters say there are no other storms developing that could affect the island this week. To follow storms in the area, see http://www.dr1.com/daily/hurricane.shtml
