Santo Domingo Senator Jose Antonio Najri encourages consumers in the DR to sue the electricity distributors. In a report in Hoy newspaper, Najri said that the companies cannot be sued for the blackouts but they can be sued for billing for what they are not delivering. He said the companies continue to charge the same amounts despite 10-12 hours or more of blackouts that have occurred almost daily.
