Pan Am Games VP to be appointed soon

Listín Diario reports that President Mejía has a list of 11 candidates for the position of vice president of the Pan Am Games organizing committee. The job was vacated last week by Raúl Barrientos for reasons that were never publicized. A decision on who will be appointed to the post is expected in the next few days, according to the president of the 2003 games, José Joaquín Puello. “It’s a posting of great responsibility so it should go to an executive with great management abilities and very good relations with the President of the Republic,” he said.
