Nearly all the major airlines have cut return airfare prices from the Dominican Republic. American Airlines, for example, has reduced its return ticket prices by RD$3000 on average. Now you can fly from Las Americas Airport to Miami for RD$6055 (a saving of RD$3500) and to New York for RD$7300 (normally RD$10,900).
Continental Airlines has offered a 50% discount to those passengers making reservations 21 days in advance, and a 15% discount for bookings 10 days in advance. El Caribe newspaper reports that US Airways is also planning to drop its prices in the next few days.
Meanwhile, American Airlines has slashed the price on its Miami to Santo Domingo run to US$226. Their sale runs only until December 4. (25 October 2001)
