The quarreling over the sovereign bond money has begun. PRD senators and members of the Santo Domingo Accord started a small rebellion when they alleged that the government is trying to exclude some provinces from planned construction projects and claimed that the sovereign bond funds were being detoured into the construction of megaprojects in the capital. Listín Diario says the situation worsened when the Technical Secretary to the Presidency, Rafael Calderón, arrived yesterday in Congress with documents listing the governments construction projects and the ones being requested by the congressmen for their districts were missing. Calderón explained that it was the result of a confusion and that he would return to the Senate next Tuesday to show that the projects in question would not be left out. President of the Senate, Andrés Bautista García, said the projects for the interior of the country are commitments we have made as provincial representatives and we cant be left looking like liars before our people.
