Dominican parents in US send children to the DR

The Dominican Consul to the US, Luis Eludis Pérez, says many Dominican parents living in the US are sending their children to the DR for fear of anthrax. He said, “Dominicans here are still terrorized by what happened to the towers and believe the worst is yet to come; they are afraid their children could get anthrax in the schools.” He said he’s trying to convince parents not to take their children out of American schools and deprive them of a quality education. He says Dominicans should trust the US authorities to resolve the situation and do everything possible to regain the trust and security of the country.
