Minister of the Armed Forces Jose Miguel Soto Jimenez issued Memorandum No. 43381, banning the chiefs of the navy, air force and army to speak to the press without previous authorization, according to Hoy newspaper. The memorandum is addressed to Major General Carlos Diaz Morfa (army), Rear Admiral Euripides Uribe Peguero (navy) and Major General Virgilio Sierra Perez (air force).
