Miraculous landing

A twin-engine aircraft crashed into the Calle San Anton intersection, just meters away from the Herrera International Airport runway, landing on top of an Izusu pick-up truck and a Toyota Camry car waiting for a traffic-light change. The small jet with a capacity to hold 16 people had departed from Las Americas International Airport, about 30 kilometers away. News reports are displaying images of the crashed plane and pointing out how miraculous it is that the airplane?s four passengers, in addition to all those in the vehicles involved on the ground, escaped with only minor injuries. The N390RB plane is the property of businessman Huascar Rodriguez. On board the plane were the pilot, Army Colonel Luis Souffront, and co-pilot, Police Colonel Freddy de los Santos. 19-year-old Yovanna Pineda and her one-year-old daughter Amanda Nicole Alvarez were the only passengers.
