New attorney general

In an induction ceremony attended by celebrities such as merengue bandleader To?o Rosario, President Hipolito Mejia swore in his new attorney general, the virtually unknown Victor Cespedes. Cespedes replaces Virgilio Bello Rosa, who resigned after publicly referring to lack of will within the government to fight corruption.
El Caribe newspaper describes Victor Manuel Cespedes Martinez as a lawyer who for the past five months had worked as assistant to the La Romana district attorney. He is also reported to be a graduate of the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo law school and a former professor of law there.
During the ceremony, President Hipolito Mejia told his new attorney general: ?Victor, it would be good if you put together a CV because almost nobody knows you.?
Also in attendance was controversial TV presenter Frederick (El Pacha) Martinez, who made headlines several months ago for french-kissing merengue king Fernandito Villalona on the mouth for over 10 seconds. El Caribe newspaper explains the presence of the show-business luminaries by saying that Martinez and Rosario were on hand in relation to separate function, when El Pacha asked the President who he would choose for attorney general. The President spontaneously proceeded to call in his new attorney general and swear him in at that moment.
