Jose Guillen smashed a 3-run homerun in the bottom of the 8th inning to give Escogido (9-8) a critical victory as the round robin portion of the baseball tourney comes to a close. Octavio Dotel recorded the final 3 outs to close out the important victory and record his second save.
Estrellas (7-9) will have to win its final two games to have any hope of making the finals. Escogido has assured itself of at least a tie for the second and final playoff spot and can end any suspense with a victory tonight as they send Jesus Sanchez (0-1) at home against the Cibae?as ?guilas and the hot Julian Tavarez (2-1).
