Sports installation contractors were handed RD$258 million yesterday by the Ministry of Public Works for the completion of the venues already underway for this summer?s Pan Am Games. The work needs to be completed by 30 May. The money will also be used to pay for construction in the athletes? village. Over 5,000 athletes are expected for the 1-17 August Games in Santo Domingo.
