Gasoline prices at all time high

The price of crude oil on the world petroleum market has recently risen to US$35 per barrel. When Mejia took office in August 2000, a barrel of petroleum cost US$14. On Saturday, oil prices in the Dominican Republic increased sharply, in line with the impact the threat of war is having on the world petroleum markets.
New prices, compared to last week now are:
Premium unleaded gasoline. RD$52.20 (up from RD$49.95)
Regular unleaded gasoline. RD$46.68 (up from RD$44.22)
Regular diesel RD$28.04 (up from RD$26.97)
Propane gas (100 lbs). RD$584.33 (up from RD$566.33)
