The National Police has confirmed that the charred body of a woman found in the sugarcane fields of Batey La Gorda de Gautier, north of Boca Chica, is that of 23-year-old Puerto Rican student Maritza Colon Berrios. Over the weekend, police arrested Richard Jovanny Amarante, a 30-year-old taxi driver suspected in the killing of the medical student from the Universidad Central del Este. Apparently, Berrios frequently used the taxi driver?s services.
