Spiderman is back in jail

The young man who invaded the apartment of former President Leonel Fernandez is back in jail. Luis Manuel Diaz de la Rosa, nicknamed Spiderman, was free on bail when he was accused of invading the sixth-floor apartment of a building in the Bella Vista sector and the robbery at knifepoint of a Cartier watch and money. The 19-year-old was arrested by agents of the monetary crimes unit of the police, commanded by Colonel Osvaldo Hernandez. The most recent break-in occurred two weeks ago and the police set out a dragnet to capture de la Rosa. Still under indictment for the break-in at the Fernandez apartment, Spiderman told his interrogators that when he is not stealing, he is selling drugs in Capotillo, a ghetto in northeastern Santo Domingo. He admitted to having been a heavy user of crack and cocaine, but said that he currently uses marijuana only, since the other drugs are too expensive. De la Rosa lives in Villa Mella and claims he has a pregnant girlfriend in Santo Domingo, but is unhappy since she married another man while he was in prison.
