The value of the peso gained yesterday towards that of the dollar, in a continuing trend that begun after measures were implemented by the authorities to restrict imports and money in circulation. The dollar was being sold for about RD$23 to the US dollar yesterday, and exchange houses were buying dollars for approximately RD$21.
