The Santo Domingo water authority (CAASD) continues to warn the public
about the current drought conditions. Low rainfall has caused water supply levels from the Haina River to fall by 30 percent and the
authority is urging people to take precautionary measures to save water. In Santiago, water rationing is reported to be imminent.
