Voting for the candidate or the party

The Rumbo-Gallup poll shows that PRD party ties are the strongest
among the three leading political parties and that those who have voted PRD in the past are the party?s staunchest supporters. According
to the poll, 54 percent of PRD voters would cast their ballot for the party, regardless of who the candidate may be, as opposed to the 59
percent of PLD partisans who say that their vote will depend on who the party candidate is. Of the PRSC, 51 percent conditioned their vote
on the candidate, while 43 percent said they would cast their vote for the party.
