The Dominican Republic has oil supplies to last through the middle of next month, according to sources in the Dominican Oil Refinery (Refidomsa). Amaury Justo Duarte, the president of the refinery, Industry & Commerce Minister Sonia Guzm?n and other officials will meet with President Hip?lito Mej?a to discuss future acquisitions of oil. The contracts and confirmations for oil purchases for use until the middle of April have been received, and orders have been placed for the second half of the month. The government has established a permanent committee to watch and monitor the hydrocarbon markets, which will be on the lookout for any unusual shifts in the marketplace.
