Dominicans return after holidays

Many fewer tragedies for Easter 2003 are reported. The Center for Emergency Operations (COE) says that 25 Dominicans died during Easter week?s peak period, from Thursday to Sunday ? a figure considerably lower than last year?s death toll of 47. In 2001, there were 31 deaths and in 2000, 34, as reported in Diario Libre. While some 568 people suffered injuries last week, Radhames Lora, president of the COE, praised the overall sensible behavior of Dominicans.
