The Specialized Corps of Airport Security (CESA) will graduate 185 new officers to beef up security in the various airports of the Dominican Republic. The chief of CESA, Major General Manuel de Jes?s Figuereo F?liz, told the press that the new agents had received their training at the San Isidro Airbase, and that the coursework consisted of classes in security, public relations, fraud detection, retraining in security areas, and notions of explosives, among others. The new security teams will be stationed at Las Americas, Santiago, Puerto Plata, and Saman?, as well as Herrera and Barahona.
