Chief Justice terribly explicit

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Jorge Subero Isa, was perhaps a little too clear in his opinion of the Dominican society. He said, according to the List?n Diario: ?Dominican society seems to be profoundly infected by a moral septicemic condition and is oozing pus from every sector.? He added that the Judicial Power is obliged to find the necessary antibiotics to save the society. Jorge Subero made his remarks at the swearing-in ceremony of 26 new judges and magistrates. He tempered his remarks by saying that the citizenry has confidence in the correct application of justice by the new magistrates, who, therefore, must act with impartiality and independence. The Chief Justice concluded by saying that even though ?the septicemia is virtually the norm of the ?official parallelism? – one for the press and one for the courts – and the shouting in the court rooms doesn?t necessarily mean that they are right.?
