The PLD is calling for a complete reform of the municipal electoral boards, as well as the electoral ID card (c?dula), computer systems and the electoral register directorates. In a letter to the new Central Electoral Board (JCE) president Luis Arias, the PLD also calls for the United Nations to monitor the next Presidential elections and a review of overseas voting procedures. The JCE president responded by saying that the recommendations were not new ones, and were already on the board?s agenda.
