Travel agencies, friends & the Internet

According to an exit poll carried out by the Central Bank, more US tourists discovered the Dominican Republic through the Internet (2.7%) than by magazines (2.5%), newspapers (1.1%) or TV (1%). The main source
of information on the country remains travel agencies (28.7%) and friends (27.8%).
European tourists rely on travel agencies in greater number than their American counterparts (60.1%), followed by friends (14.2%), magazines (4.3%), radio and TV (2.9%), the Internet (1.4%), and newspapers (1.2%).
