DR wins again in Caribbean Series

The Dominican Republic beat Puerto Rico last night in its second game in the Caribbean Baseball Series. Jose Jimenez (Cleveland Indians) was the winning pitcher and Jose Offerman (Seattle Mariners) was responsible for two runs in the 5-0 defeat. The game was suspended in the 6th inning due to the rains that had threatened the game from the onset. The Dominican Republic currently leads the series with two wins and zero losses. Mexico and Venezuela are tied 1-1, and Puerto Rico has lost its first two games.

Tonight, Puerto Rico goes against Mexico and the DR matches up with Venezuela. For more on the Caribbean Series, including the game schedule, see http://www.dr1.com/calendar
