According to a report in El Nacional newspaper, Santiago Murray, the leader of the OAS electoral observer group, says there is little possibility of electoral fraud, and that these fears are dissipating slowly. This is what Murray told PLD leaders Cesar Pina Toribio and Temistocles Montas when they expressed their reservations and observations as to the process being executed by the JCE. Murray said ?the citizenry can be confident in that their vote will be respected.? In Hoy newspaper, Murray expressed confidence in the JCE, but added that it was important for the Armed Forces and the National Police to abstain from political opinion-giving or becoming involved in political issues.
