The Dominican Presidential election campaigning period closes tonight at midnight in preparation for Sunday?s day of voting. Eduardo Estrella will speak at the PRSC closing ceremonies tonight at around 6pm. President Hipolito Mejia will address the nation in a televised broadcast on government-intervened stations and the state?s television station at 8pm. The Press Office of the Presidency says Mejia will speak in his condition of President of the Republic. Listin Diario reports that it is expected the statesman will also touch on the present economic situation of the country and the measures his government is taking to keep a financial balance and improve the quality of living of Dominicans.
