As of 24 May, Radio Disney will be broadcasting in the Dominican Republic, according to the Listin Diario. The Grupo Progreso says it purchased the franchise to operate the transmission from The Walt Disney Company Latin America. The programming will target younger audiences and will arrive on the airwaves in July. Joel Reyes Colon, the station?s director, says that while most of the programming will be international, leading Dominican groups will have their space, such as Pavel Nunez, Negros and Al-Jadaqui. The Radio Disney station will transmit on 97.3 FM.
